Our Story

Wonder Street Entertainment Boise Idaho 2024
Wonder Street Entertainment’s Christine and Mark Holder have announced the creation of the Boise Film Festival, which will make its debut October 10-13. Both Christine and Mark are film and television industry veterans, who fell in love with the city after moving here from Los Angeles.

Christine Holder

Christine Holder is a producer, manager, and a founding partner of Wonder Street Entertainment. She currently produces both feature and television content as well as representing creative forces in both the talent and literary world.

Christine came to management from the studio feature world, where she worked on the production of numerous films for Fox, Universal, and Touchstone/Disney. Driven by an intense interest in marketing and public relations, she joined the television department at the prestigious PR firm BWR representing clients from American Idol, The Tracy Morgan show. The Bernie Mac Show, and political satirist Aaron McGruder (The Boondocks).

Inspired by her passion for storytelling, Christine launched into the management/production side of the business in 2008. Since then, she has produced such projects as Netflix’s critically acclaimed Beasts of No Nation which starr ed the award-winning Idris Elba and was directed by Cary Fukunaga, W alter featuring Milo Ventimiglia, William H. Macy and Virginia Madsen, and dark thriller I Will Follow You Into The Dark starring Ryan Eggold. In 2019, Christine, along with her husband Mark, ventured out to form their current shingle allowing their passion and laser focus to filter into a company built on cultural responsibility and integrity, transparency, and inclusion.

Her projects include the Octavia Spencer-starring Netflix series Self Made: Inspired by the Life of Madam CJ Walker (which recently earned the star her first best actress Emmy nomination) with producing partner LeBr on James, the Tim Story-directed HBO movie on infamous Harlem gangster Stephanie Saint-Clair, The Mauritanian, based on the best-selling autobiographical novel Guantanamo Diary, starring Benedict Cumberbatch ch, Jodie Foster, Shailene Woodley, and Tahar Rahim. Currently, she has projects in various states of development at Netflix, Warners, Warner Horizon, and Paramount among others.

In addition to producing, she also manages a full roster of talent and literary clients specializing in underrepresented storytellers with diversely unique voices. As a producer, Christine strives to push boundaries on diversity and gender including in both content and casting but also in all production team areas. With the support of Netflix, Self Made saw a record number of diverse female department heads and key hires, supporting the mission that film and television sets can and forever should be a powerful reflection of equality.

Mark Holder

Mark Holder is a producer and a founding partner of Wonder Street Entertainment. In addition to producing impactful stories for television and film, Mark guides a diverse team of managers and producers at Wonder Street. With a keen interest in telling important stories, Mark got involved in producing in 2012.

Since then Mark has produced a dozen films including: STX films The Mauritanian, based on the best-selling memoir Guantanamo Diary, starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Jodie Foster, Shailene Woodley and Tahar Rahim and directed by Academy Award Winner Kevin MacDonald. The film came out in 2019 to excellent reviews, multiple BAFTA nominations including Best Picture and two Golden Globe noms one of which garnered Jodie Foster a Best Supporting Actress win. Netflix’s critically acclaimed Beasts of No Nation directed by Cary Fukunaga and starring Idris Elba, who was nominated for a BAFTA and a Golden Globe Award for his groundbreaking performance. The hit Netflix series Self Made: Inspired by the Life of Madam CJ Walker starring Octavia Spencer(which earned the star her first best actress Emmy nomination) with producing partner LeBron James and Springhill Entertainment; and most recently Mark is an Executive Producer on the one hour hit drama East New York on CBS.

In 2019 Mark ventured out to form the current shingle, Wonder Street, allowing his passion and laser focus to filter into a company built on cultural responsibility and integrity, transparency and inclusion. Mark lives in Eagle and has fallen in love with all things Boise.

Board of Directors

Ric Newman

Ric Newman is a real estate developer and owner of Newman Realty Partners. Newman Realty was founded in 1987 in Boca Raton, Florida. Newman Realty initially made its mark in the local community as one of the area’s top commercial real estate brokerage and property management firms.

Over the years the firm has evolved into an acquisition and development company. Ric has developed build-to-suit headquarters for companies such as Toshiba, ADT/Tyco as well as the Florida Panthers practice facility. He designed a 600-acre conservation-oriented development in Colorado which is currently being developed for 1000 homes.

Newman has developed over two million square feet of office, retail and industrial properties. He was a founding Board Member of Legacy Bank of Florida. Ric served as a Board Member at SOS Children’s Village in Coconut Creek for over a decade including two terms as President.

He also served on the International Board of SOS Children’s Village which provides foster care homes for children whose parents can no longer care for them.

Brian Herbert

Brian A. Herbert is a Principal of Lee & Associates Idaho, LLC., a full-service commercial real estate brokerage and member of the Lee & Associates group of companies. He specializes in investment sales & leasing of retail properties throughout Idaho & representing companies across the Nation.

A former pro hockey player, Brian has been applying his competitive drive on behalf of his clients as a commercial real estate broker over the past nine years. He has successfully executed in excess of $1 billion in sales and lease transactions over the past five years.
